How to Play Don’t You Worry Child on Piano and Keyboard

Swedish House Mafia Don't You Worry Child

~ Learning How to Play Keyboard Online ~

My latest favorite song is Don't You Worry Child, by Swedish House Mafia. We uploaded a Don't You Worry piano tutorial a few weeks ago, and were astounded at how fast the views increased! It got more than 2,700 views in 3 weeks! That is the fastest any of our videos' views increased. According to that, the song is also popular to many others who like to play piano and keyboard. I know that is really popular elsewhere, and for good reason…

The first time I heard the song, it stuck in my head…. I found myself humming it all day long. Even our children, ages 4 & 6, started singing it. When my husband heard us singing it he was like, "What song is THAT?!?" He is often not a fan of the newer songs. He is a die-hard country music guy at heart. But he had to admit the song, Don't You Worry Child, was touching – it is easy to get emotional when listening to it.

Since the piano tutorial took off so fast, we decided it we should also publish it here on our blog, with the lyrics, and hunt down downloadable, free piano sheet music for it. Lucky for you, we DID find the sheet music as a free download, and have posted the download PDF link below. We also posted several other Don't You Worry Child piano tutorials that are really good. It's always best to watch more than one tutorial before you choose the one that you can learn from the easiest. Enjoy!!!

Lyrics

There was a time, I used to look into my father's eyes
In a happy home, I was a king I had a gold throne
Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall
I hear the sounds from the places where I was born

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
thats where I had my first heart break
I still remember how it all changed
my father said

Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!

Don't you worry, don't you worry now
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!

There was a time, I met a girl of a different kind
We ruled the world,
Thought I'll never lose her out of sight

We were so young
I think of her now and then
Still hear the song reminding me of a friend

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
thats where I had my first heart break
I still remember how it all changed
my father said

Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!

Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
See heaven's got a plan for you

Don't you worry, don't you worry child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now
Yeah!

Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
Ooh ooh ooh ooooh!
Yeah…

Learn How to Read Piano Sheet Music

[Some material quoted from WikiHow.com]

Learning how to read piano sheet music can be a real challenge if you have never learned anything about music or music notes before. If you do already know the basics to music, you are a step ahead in learning to read piano sheet music.

You will of course need a piano or keyboard to practice what you learn. Now to the music staff:  A staff has 5 lines and is a four spaced chart where music notes are placed on. There are treble and bass clefs.

To break it down: A treble clef is played by your right hand. This will be a middle C and higher, and will have a higher pitch. The bass clef is for your left hand, and is usually played in middle C with a low pitch sound.

Middle C is the middle of your keyboard and is where treble and bass clefs separate When you go to the left of middle C you are in bass clef territory, when you go to the right of middle C you are in treble clef territory. The notes on piano are from the deep C all the way to the left – it goes like this C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C  – Memorize this before going on to the next step.

Notes on treble and bass clefs: Notes on treble clef are E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E, F for every line and space. Bass clef is different: G, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A.

Remember note phrases for treble and bass clefs:  Good phrase for treble lines;  Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. Every space: FACE

Good phrase for bass clef; Every line: Good Boys Deserves Fudge Always. Every space: All Cows Eat Grass.

The videos below will give you a better idea on how to read sheet music – it is easy to get confused. Be patient with yourself, your mind will grasp it with enough practice.
